BON Pergolas Can Withstand Strong Wind

The VILLA PERGOLA is designed to withstand winds up to 80 mph when its louvers are closed, which is equivalent to low hurricane-force winds. In winds exceeding 80 mph, opening the louvers allows the wind to pass through, and many customers in Florida have reported that their Villa Pergolas endured hurricanes by doing this.

The WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA and GRAND RETRACTABLE PERGOLA are built to endure winds up to 120 mph with closed louvers.

The WIND-RESISTANT SCREEN can handle up to 60 mph winds when closed, but we recommend opening it during stronger winds.

BON Pergolas Can Withstand Snow

Bon Pergola is proud to share that the VILLA PERGOLA is designed to support a snow load of up to 15 psf.

The WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA and GRAND RETRACTABLE PERGOLA can handle between 25-30 psf, providing substantial snow resistance. For snowfall beyond these limits, we suggest opening the louvers to allow the snow to fall through. 

When dealing with a mix of wet and dry snow, these pergolas can typically hold about a foot of snow with the louvers closed, but it's advisable to keep the louvers open during heavy snowstorms or throughout the snow season.
