Premium Stone Planter for High-End Applications
Designed as an object of meaning, crafted to elevate its surroundings.
Bhaca is a planter with meaning, sculptural, expressive, and deeply rooted in cultural narrative. Interpreting the ancient Xhosa practice of bhaca (scarification), the form reveals deliberate incisions that trace across the surface like marks of identity and healing. What begins as a quiet object becomes a powerful design statement, bringing history, craft, and material honesty into refined living spaces.
For reference, the image below shows the relative size of each Indigenus Bhaca Planter to help you visualize scale in your space.

Why Choose the Indigenus Bhaca Planter Pots
1. Culturally Inspired Sculptural Form
Bhaca’s faceted surface is defined by intersecting cuts that are intentionally pushed open, echoing the ritual markings that signify initiation, belonging, and restoration. These gestures create depth, shadow, and a strong tactile presence from every angle.
2. Hand-Finished Stone Construction
Bhaca is produced in stone using glass-reinforced concrete, allowing intricate surface detail with exceptional strength and durability. Each planter is electronically scanned from original clay works and carefully finished to retain the expressive quality of the hand-cut form.
3. Expressive Texture with Architectural Presence
The interplay of sharp lines and softened planes gives Bhaca a bold yet balanced character. It pairs naturally with contemporary interiors and architectural settings where texture and story are as important as proportion.
4. Designed to Stand Alone or in Groupings
Bhaca works beautifully as a singular focal piece or arranged in clusters of varied sizes to create rhythm and continuity. The range scales confidently for both intimate spaces and expansive environments.
5. For Residential & Professional Use
With its cultural depth, material integrity, and sculptural strength, Bhaca is well suited to private homes, hospitality environments, and commercial projects where authenticity and design intent matter.
What Are Indigenus “Self-Watering” Liners
All Indigenus planters are supplied with a planting liner. Each liner is specifically designed to suit the proportions of its corresponding planter, ensuring balanced planting and healthy root development.

The liner features an integrated water reservoir at the base, which uses capillary action, a natural wicking process, to gradually draw water upward to the plant roots over time. The reservoir can be easily refilled by pouring water directly into the liner’s fill receptacle using a watering can, while the built-in gauge clearly indicates when the reservoir has reached its optimal level.
